Promoting our truck, along with the interest and safety of diesel motor sports.
Welcome to the home of Black Patch Diesel racing. Scarlet Fever our Dodge Mega cab although not your typical truck to be built into a race machine, has ended up that way. The engine and transmission have been built from
the ground up with the intentions of competing in local and national diesel events. Drag racing in sanctioned events is our main focus with sled pulling a part time thrill. This site will let you follow our progress as the truck continues to grow in the sport and power department.
2009 brought some great events although many were rained out. Scarlet Fever held in long enough to win the NADM quick diesel point series. Considering there was a broken front drive shaft, bent valve and a blown turbo the truck held up well. To this day there has yet to be a transmission issue. The Silver Bullet turbo I ran for 2.5 years, finally gave out at test and tune the night before NADM's final race. Thanks to Jeff Garmon who brought me a spare to make it home.
Thanks to Borg Warner, Turbo Diesel & Electric and High Tech Turbo the truck will be back next season even stronger with twins turbos. Due to it's size, I never expected the truck to be a record breaker but, with these new twins it will be even more competitive. I expect it to be in the 900HP range.
